The Airbus A380 is exhibited at the Farnborough International Airshow.
We're packing our bags and heading to the Farnborough International Airshow in London next week. After months of anticipation and planning, here are 5 reasons why we're excited to head to Farnborough.
1. It's the go-to aerospace trade event of the year.
With the most diverse range of exhibitors, over 1500 from all over the world, FIA is one of the best places to meet potential customers and suppliers all in one place.
2. Great networking opportunities.
FIA has such a large number of visitors and exhibitors, making it a perfect event for relationship building. FIA2012 saw over 100,000 visitors over the five day trade event. We're looking forward to meeting new partners and building relationships over the course of the show.
3. Global reach.
In 2012, FIA saw representation from over 20 countries. Over 55% of exhibitors are international, making the event a great place to expand business horizons.
4. Incredible flying and static aircraft display.
Leading manufacturers showcase their military and commercial aircraft at FIA. Botht he Airbus A380 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner have made their debuts at the show.
5. Location, location, location.
Located at the Farnborough Aerodrome in Hampshire, FIA is hosted at a site with a rich aerospace history: it saw the first flight by Samual Cody in 1908 and was the testing site for the Hawker Hurricane. The site also contains a natural amphitheater and hospitality chalets built along terraces that line the run-way.
