Eighteen years ago today, RGBSI was incorporated in Madison Heights, Michigan. The company has changed quite a bit since its first official day of business back in 1997, especially over the past year with major milestones like moving to a brand new headquarters in Troy, a plethora of awards and additions to the staff.
We wouldn't have gotten this far without our loyal customers and dedicated staff, and we would like to thank them for allowing us to continue to grow as a business and achieve success year after year.
In honor of our 18th Anniversary, we thought we'd share a look back over the past year by the numbers.
15: the number of awards RGBSI received over the past year
RGBSI has been recognized nationally, regionally and locally over the past year, including:
- Awards recognizing our strength and scale as a engineering services and technology company from Crain's Detroit Business
- Corp! Magazine DiSciTech and Michigan Economic Bright Spot Awards recognizing our software development
- Our CEO was a regional finalist in Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year award
3099: Our ranking on the 2014 Inc. 500|5000 Fasting Growing Private Companies list
We've been ranked five times in the last six years. This year, we earned a Five Time Inc. 5000 Honoree award.
45: Our ranking on the Detroit Crain's Fast 50 list
The list compiles the fastest growing companies in the Detroit area. Crain’s measures growth by revenue and companies were ranked by dollar amount of revenue growth between 2010 and 2013 and by percentage revenue growth during the same period. These two ranking were added together to create the list: the lower the number, the higher the rank.
2: Number of aerospace tradeshows we attended and sponsored.
This year, we sponsored the USA Pavilion at both the Farnborough International Airshow and the Aero India 2015 show.
4: Number of community outreach efforts
RGBSI reached out both locally and internationally with partnerships with the Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust Residential Facility for Girls, PES University, Visvesvaraya Technological University, WSU's Night of the Stars and Haven.
25,000: Number of square feet in our new world headquarters in Troy, Michigan.
After over a year of renovations, our Michigan staff moved our headquarters to a brand new facility in Troy, Michigan. The new facility is over 300 percent more space than our previous building and will serve us well into the future as we continue to grow.
16: percent of revenue growth in the past 2 years.
With new products like Empower QLM and new customers for our engineering and staffing services, we are looking to continue to grow our revenue over the next 2 years.
